This patient came to Dr. Francesco Campanile, because she was unhappy with the appearance of her breasts. She was especially concerned with the depleted volume in both the upper and lower poles, and scheduled a consultation with Dr. Campanile to discuss breast augmentation.

After taking the time to review this patient’s case, Dr. Campanile recommended a breast augmentation to give her fuller, more rounded breasts. The patient decided to move forward with the surgery, and so they sat down to discuss the different types of breast implants this patient would be a candidate for.

During a pre-operative appointment, very specific measurements are taken in order to determine what implants each patient is a candidate for. Based on these measurements and the patient’s desired breast fullness, the patient and Dr. Campanile select 3 different implants that will be available during surgery. During breast augmentation surgery, Dr. Campanile uses a sizer implant to determine the volume that will give each patient the most ideal cosmetic result. Once that volume is determined, he opens and inserts the corresponding implant into the pocket that he has created. By using a sizer implant, each patient will get the most ideal cosmetic result possible.
